Hunger is a problem that we do not readily associate with our own community yet, everyday people in Orange County go to bed hungry. The food you donate can help in a family’s struggle to survive.

Commercial Food Donations

Food donors include local grocery stores and supermarket chains, food manufacturers and distributors, the government, restaurants, food industry trade shows, local farmers, and gleaning efforts.

The Orange County Food Bank can accept dry, shelf-stable, refrigerated and frozen food items; prepared foods; foodservice items; personal care and cleaning products; office supplies and equipment; mislabeled and unlabeled products; obsolete promotional items; and bulk and damaged products. 

 
Why Should I Donate?

Donating surplus inventory to The Orange County Food Bank is safe, efficient and cost-effective.

Product donations reduce warehouse storage and dumping costs, and The Orange County Food Bank can pick up your donation free of charge.

Gifts to The Orange County Food Bank are covered by national Good Samaritan laws.    In addition, product donations generate tax benefits for participating companies.
