We try to prepare as best we can for these lean summer months. But the demand keeps growing, and we really need your help to fill cupboards for these organizations so they can feed the children, families and seniors who are depending on them! Nutrition Health & Wellness Program –  In 2010, we launched a “Farm 2 Kids” program which provides bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to children at elementary schools.  The Department is committed to reducing health disparities and obesity through education, prevention and providing Summer Programs.

OC Food Bank Program - Distributes nearly 20 million pounds of food to vulnerable people in our community. To supplement donated products, we also purchase items like canned fruits, canned meats, tuna, rice and beans, and offer them to member feeding programs at the same low price we pay.  Currently, over 375 non-profit agencies rely on us for their food.

Senior Food Program - Provides nutritionally balanced food boxes to 23,000 seniors each month at over 50 distribution sites throughout Orange County. Household income is set by the Federal Poverty Guidelines which is at or below 130% for seniors.

Homeless and Emergency Shelters and Soup Kitchens - This food may provide the only decent meal a person has eaten in days.  Many of our member organization depend on us for most of their food!
